Beach Cities Health District
Redondo Beach, CA
In collaboration with Beach Cities Health District (BCHD), we spent three years reimagining the former South Bay Hospital campus in Redondo Beach. The campus shifted from medical offices to a preventative care-focused facility with a focus on “Healthy Living.” The two-phased master plan replaced the hospital’s central plant and parking structure with 420 assisted living units, a child development center, a center for health and fitness and green open space. The second phase will introduce a community wellness pavilion with flexible presentation and community meeting spaces, a demonstration kitchen and garden and more.
