Joppa Cottage Home
Des Moines, IA
In partnership with Joppa Outreach, a Des Moines non-profit, BSB Design created this small but high-quality home design to provide transitional shelter for residents on a fixed income. The home was designed to fit into the existing neighborhood aesthetic despite its overall reduced size. In just 384 square feet, it provides a living room, fully-outfitted kitchen, a private bedroom and a bathroom with a storage closet. The vaulted ceiling and large windows add plenty of natural light to create an open, roomy, bright feeling within the otherwise modest space.
