Joshua Shields

Josh joined the architectural staff at BSB Design in 2024 after completing his Master of Architecture degree at UNC Charlotte. His architectural journey began in middle school when an art teacher introduced him to the field. Once he learned that “architects designs houses,” he was dedicated to becoming one in the future. Josh gained experience as an intern for a commercial firm in his hometown of Winston-Salem, North Carolina prior to joining BSB’s Charlotte office.

Fun Fact

Josh is known around the office as "The Shoe Guy" not only because of his taste in footwear, but he works on shoes as well. Outside of architecture, he specializes in cleaning, restoring, and customizing shoes for people.
