Daniel R. Swift, AIA
Dan is an award-winning architect with decades of design experience in single family, multifamily and mixed use projects. He is an avid student of the industry, leveraging knowledge and data to ensure BSB Design stays ahead of the curve. As President, Dan oversees the firm’s national design direction and business development efforts.
Over the past 30+ years, Dan has refined and improved the firm’s unique design consultation process. Today, the BSB Design charette provides clients with quality design and product programming in a compressed time frame, delivering more in one week than most firms can in months. Dan is an energized, passionate leader who strives to be on the cutting edge of industry innovation. His goal is to inspire all BSB Design staff to pursue personal and professional growth that will lead the firm into the future.
Fun Fact
When Dan was 8 years old, he wrote a paper that his mom still has explaining that he was going to be an architect. When he saw Falling Water by Frank Lloyd Wright, Dan knew he wanted to focus on housing. Upon graduation from Iowa State University in 1987, he sent one resume out to Jack Bloodgood who was a giant in the industry, and has been here ever since.
